PENDERGRASS – Betty Lois Byess Parks, 78, of the Plainview Community, died Thursday, January 21, 2010.
Born in Marble Hill, she was the daughter of the late Dallas William and Villa Taylor Byess. She worked as a farmer and was a member of the Holly Spring United Methodist Church. Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Parks.
Survivors include a son, Macko Parks, Pendergrass; grandsons, Mack and Cole Parks, both of Pendergrass; granddaughter, Dallas Wiley, Clermont; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb and Jacob Wiley; sisters, Lucille Kirk and Ruby Wall, both of Jasper.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 24, at 1 p.m., from the Holly Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Price officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 7441 Holly Springs Rd., Pendergrass, GA 30567.
