Despite a strong defensive showings, the East Jackson Lady Eagles came up on the short end of two losing scores last week, dropping region pairings to North Oconee and Walnut Grove.
The Lady Eagles hope to gain a little region traction on Friday when they travel to Jefferson Friday to face the Lady Dragons.
Jefferson enters this week still looking for its first region win of the season and with a 3-12 overall record.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
North Oconee
East Jackson traveled to North Oconee last Tuesday to face the Lady Titans.
The game began well as the Lady Eagles held a 9-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Unfortunately, the Lady Titans got their act together in the second to take a 22-14 lead into the half.
They maintained their lead, 32-24 after three periods and the Eagles scored only five points in the final quarter to drop a 43-29 decision.
