The initial reports from the Georgia High School Association about the 2010 class divisions means big news for the Jackson County Panthers.
Jackson County will drop to Class AA standing, placing the Panthers into region rivalries with East Jackson and Jefferson.
Jefferson was this year's 8-AA Region Champion and East Jackson was the second seed in 8-AA.
Final assignment of the divisions by the GHSA comes in December, following an appeals process later this month.
