I am related to the family of the little boy through marriage and he did pass away. My heart breaks for this family and my prayers go out to them. I can not imagine losing one of my children. He was only 5 years old, it is horrible. Please pray for the family that God will help them through this horrible time.

I will pray for you and your family but remember your family entrusted this woman to watch your little buddy so therefore I think she must have been a trustworthy person a 5 year old can be very fast I don't think anyone intended on this tragedy to happen but part of the grief is anger. I know I have been dealing with anger for the better part of 3 years over an accident and until you learn to forgive you cannot heal. I'm not putting you down nor do I want to make you feel any worse so God bless you and may your Nephew rest in Peace.

I'm so sorry, Please whatever you do..DO NOT beat yourself up on this. Love the memories of the little one. My heart goes out to your family. I lost a sister and it is still hard on me and my family. I can definately say, believe in God and look for the good which will come from the child's spirit gaurding you as well as talk about the child frequently. Keep the memories alive. May your friends and family see you through this.

This is horrible. This may sound crazy but i question if he was pushed into the pool!!!!!! This was the house of a friend from school. It was her grandmothers house. IT IS HAUNTED HAUNTED HAUNTED!!! Once i remember the grandmother being pushed off the porch by something. Ok call me crazy but she swore several times odd things happened here. And, felt hands on her at the time of fall. This is tradgic. GOD BLESS this family!!

Okay as one of the rescuers I dont believe he was pushed the whole problem was and it is not just the ladys fault that was watching them even though she should have been more careful!! The problems was the pool should have been covered with a solid object it was open , it did have an old 2x4 wooden fence around it but it was rotten and had holes that children would fit through!! It should never have happened period!! The pool should have been covered and sealed!! There should even have been a better fence around it!! It was a lack of common sense , period!!! If you have kids or looking after kids make sure any open areas like a pool or things they can get into are thought of and the proper actions taken to lesson things like this...

I agree with you rescuer on this. Everyone needs to take time & learn from this situation. People need to take time to be cautious or more cautious about anything they may have in their home or in their yard whether they have children or not. If you don't have kids in your home i'm sure you have them around your home. Who knows things like this could happen to your neighbors children too. I will continue to hve this family in my thaughts & prayers. My condolences goes out to this family & may God heal their broken hearts in this tragic loss of tis little angel.

Does it matter why he was not in school??? As for those of you who hinted at blaming the mother for leaving the child at a home with a pool that was not properly maintained, you have no right!! I am sure that you leave your children with babysitters that keep cleaners in their home, however you trust that the sitter will watch your child and not them around the cleaners to drink them or you have left your child with a sitter who lives on a busy street, but you trust that the sitter will not allow them to play near the road! This is not poor judgment on the mothers behalf and it is not a matter of if the pool was covered properly or not. The problem is that the sitter let small children play outside unattended. Anything can happen to children when they are not watched like they should be and sadly in this case the worst happened. Rather than questioning the mother why don't you all try praying for her and her family!!!!
