Pilot in Athens crash had home in Jackson

The pilot of a small plane that crashed Thursday in Athens reportedly had homes in Jackson County and in Florida.

David Garber and Scott Strong were killed when the plane they were flying crashed near Athens Ben Epps Field Thursday afternoon.

Garber, 81, reportedly has a home in South Jackson County.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
