Jefferson man charged with sexual exploitation of children

A Jefferson man was arrested Thursday on charges of sexual exploitation of children after law enforcement officers found electronic equipment in his home with photos of young children.

Lolan Ernest Reeves, 33, River Mist Circle, Jefferson, was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to Jefferson police chief Joe Wirthman. A large quantity of electronic equipment, DVDs and CDs were removed from the home.

Reeves was charged after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation received a tip. The investigation is continuing by the Jefferson Police Department and the GBI.

This kind of stuff is all over the internet? I have been looking for other stuff and a pop up popped up and said see young girls 12 and 13 nude and peeing and I said oh no and clicked out of it as fast as I could. If they can catch this pervert why can't they catch all these people on the internet?

Yeah, I totally agree. Truthfully I don't think enough people take this kind of perversion serious enough! If he or anyone that's got kiddy porn on there pc then common sense says that they're capable of doing alot more than just looking. And just watch, he'll serve a little time if any and he'll be right back on the streets. Who knows how sick & twisted some people's secrets go & it could be anyone we know so ALWAYS keep your kids close & be honest with them about how evil and sick some people can be!!!

Also ugagal, there is nothing we can do to these cruel monsters that rome the streets so they can watch and entice small children to do their bidding ( male & female) but lets say that they do get caught and that they do go to prison for a little while they will have to stay in Adm. Seg. for their whole sentence because if ,the other inmates ( no matter how much we dislike them ) they hate child molesters as much as you and I and if they can get their hands on them they may not come out as they went in. I think that when they do get out and go to register with the local police dept. they would be given space in the county along with a tent and that would be their home as they stay in this state, they should not have the comforts of a built home.

Yes Lm and ugagal nothing is cruel enough for these perverts. I think in situations like this we should bring back public hangings. Hang them in public where everyone can see.It wouldn't take but a couple of hangings for people to get the message that this is wrong and w will not stand for it?

Purchasing child pornography means funding the filming, sexual abuse and exploitation of children. The children in the movies are the victims. These are real children.

Happening to come across something like this on the internet can also be construed as a crime. I don't think many people would want the government snooping in their hard drive. Accidental exposure to this stuff is also very possible, if not probable.

Remember, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Things don't look too good for this guy though.

Michael you are right about this and I couldn't close the site fast enough. I didn't even get to the page where they were showing the kids as soon as I read that I closed it out. I know he is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but you know as well as I do that's not true no more now it's guilty until proven innocent? People say if he is guilty and goes to jail and serves his time when he gets out it's over? Not true this will affect him for the rest of his life. He will have to register with the local sheriffs Dept. and you know nobody is going to want to live next to him ever again?

I know I wouldn't want to at all. There is a special place in Hell for these kind of people. pardon my french ya. but i do feel very strongly about this.
