Jefferson picked up their first region win of the season, as they defeated Banks County on the road last week.
After rain postponed Monday’s home game against East Jackson, the Dragons next game will be on Wednesday, as they travel to Commerce to face their arch rivals, the Tigers.
The Tigers entered play Tuesday with a 4-2 overall record, fresh off of their first region win of the season against Prince Avenue.
Commerce will be looking to snap a losing streak against the Dragons that dates back six games, to March of 2006.
First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Banks County
Jefferson faced off against their first region opponent of the year Thursday night, as the Dragons traveled to Homer to face the Leopards of Banks County.
Both teams remained scoreless through the first three innings. Then Jefferson got on the board first by getting two runs across in the top of the fourth. While they held Banks County scoreless, the Dragons would go on to add two more runs in the top of the fifth, three in the top of the sixth and six in the top of the seventh to win 13-0.
