NICHOLSON – Jack Lamar Lacey, 75, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Roy and Helen Tucker Lacey and was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church. He was retired from Georgia Power with over 45 years of service in the Augusta area. He retired as Safety and Health Advisor.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Peggy Pritchett Lacey, Nicholson; sons and daughter-in-law, Britt Lacey, Athens, Darron and Cindy Lacey, Peachtree City; brothers, Mike and Colie Lacey, both of Commerce; sister, Linda Hiland, Maysville; granddaughter, Camille Lacey, Peachtree City; and grandson, Skyler Lacey, Peachtree City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m., at the Nicholson Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Smith and Robert Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
