JEFFERSON – Mary Ann Ianuario, 60, died Friday, March 6, 2009.
Born in Fulton County, she was the daughter of James and Wilma Brewer of Florida. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church, a volunteer for the Helping Hands program at Jefferson Elementary School, a story teller for children, the genealogist for her family, a Master Gardener for the State of Georgia, and an avid gardener of heirloom varieties of flowers. She volunteered for many local organizations and was a sweet-spirited person who was loved by many. She was a graduate of North Augusta High School in 1966 and a graduate of West Georgia College as an anthropologist. Mrs. Ianuario was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Ianuario.
Survivors include daughters, Tonia McGrew, Lexington, S.C., and Mary Ann C. Collins, Bonaire; grandchild, Alexander Johnson; brother, James Reese Brewer III, New Orleans, La.; and a sister, Jane Brewer Brewster, Evans.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Beau Farr and Jerry Walls officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery in Jefferson. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
