Bill Navas, who coached the Jefferson Dragons football team to the 2008 8-AA title, has announced his resignation as head football coach.
In an email released Friday, Navas announced that has accepted an administrative position at Duluth High School.
He will serve as Duluth's Director of Athletics.
Along with winning the 8-AA title last year, Navas' Dragons experienced their first undefeated regular season in recent memory. The team would fall out in the second round of play off action to Lovett in a hotly contested game.
Navas served as head football coach for Jefferson beginning in 2002. In that time, he led his team to the post-season seven times, and three times made it to the second round.
Navas was also named the 2008 8-AA Coach of the Year.
