The Jefferson tennis teams continued their early strong showing, as both improved their records to 2-0 with victories over Lakeview Academy last week.
For the boys, they defeated Lakeview 6-1. Zach Bost won 6-1 and 6-4 at number one in singles, while Chase Lindsay won 6-0 and 6-3 at number three.
The number one doubles team of Matt Buchanan and Aaron Martin won 4-6, 6-1 and 6-0, while the number two team of Trevor Castellaw and Stephen Chambers won 6-3, 6-7 and 6-1.
Meanwhile the girls won 5-0 over Lakeview. Bell Blankenship won 6-3 and 6-0 at number one in singles, while number two Jessica Johnson won 6-1 and 6-2, and number three Miranda McGarity won 6-0 and 6-1.
Ashley Etchison and Colby Fowler won at number one in doubles 6-3 and 6-3, while number two Kristine Chambers and Mariah Yates won 6-2 and 6-0.
Both teams are next scheduled to travel to North Oconee on Thursday.
