Jim Joiner, former Jefferson mayor, dies

UPDATE
Services have been set for former Jefferson mayor Jim Joiner who died on Sunday.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Dr. Michael Helms officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. at FBCJ.

Jim Joiner, 76, of Jefferson, died June 24. Joiner was a former Mayor of the City of Jefferson.

Service details have not been announced. Evans Funeral Home is handling the services.

Wow... just came to my computer and read this news -Mr. Joiner is no longer here. Jim and I were friends for many years; we loved playing golf together -except on those few occasions that I beat. May peace and love surround and be with the Joiner family.
