A Jackson County jailer was arrested Thursday on charges stemming from an incident in Madison County.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office jailer Todd Greene was charged with battery in Madison County following a confrontation. Greene was reportedly doing some work for a man in Madison County when the two began to argue. According to a JCSO press release from Sheriff Janis Mangum, Green attempted to handcuff the man, twisted his arm and hand and caused scratches on the victim.
Green was arrested by JCSO deputies and Commerce Police Department officers. He has been terminated from employment at the JCSO.

What does it have to do with the Sheriff? He was obviously an off duty jailer in a different county when the incident occurred and was immedialty fired and then arrested by the department he worked for. Sounds like the leadership of the JCSO did an excellent job of immediatly addressing the problem instead of attempting a cover-up. You've obviously never been an any type of supervision or leadership position as you would know that you can't dictate someone's behavior 24 hours both at and away from work.

First of all, it’s MARTIAL Law and LEADERSHIP. As you can see from some of these posts, the hiring pool is very, very shallow. You cannot plan for every eventuality, but you can deal with it appropriately when such incidents arise. This was handled correctly. No cover-up, no being allowed to resign, no reassignment. The business of LE is not perfect, but each jurisdiction is a reflection of the folks they respond to. PS, anyone calling for MARTIAL law has never experienced complete govt control. This incident would be a daily occurrence under MARTIAL Law.

This kind of behavior among the law enforcement / jailer community is not isolated. It is these type of hooligans that are causing California to look at restricting police brutality. Remember the last time a cop shot someone in the leg? Me neither.
