The Jefferson City Council decided Monday night to study further a proposal to locate cameras at some red lights in town. Councilman Roy Plott said he has some reservations about whether the move would cause more wrecks than it stops.
The proposal is designed for intersections around I-85 and Hwy. 129 where city officials say a number of wrecks have taken place in the past year. Critics of the plan say the city wants the cameras to generate revenue and not for public safety.
There are too many cameras and satellite images now. We might as well remove the word "privacy" from the dictionary.Does anyone remember reading the book "1984" in school?

Time to fire all of them and bring in new blood.
