Frances Austin

Frances Veal Austin, 68, of Commerce, died Monday, December 22, 2008.

Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Newt and Lucille Jacks Veal. She was a member of Rogers Baptist Church and was retired from the textile industry. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, loved ones stated.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Austin Sr.,; sons and daughter-in-law, David “Buck” and Angie Garrett, and Robert Lee Austin Jr., all of Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Terry Berryman, Braselton; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Wallace Smith, North Carolina; granddaughter, Tiffany Bowen; great-grandsons, Trey Garrett and Bryce Bowen, both of Commerce; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 24, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Carlton Peters, Jessie Mealor and Tommy Seay officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 6 to 9 p.m.
