A man said he pulled over on Crooked Creek Road at Hwy. 129 last week when he was having car trouble and someone assaulted him.
The man said he had the hood up and was looking at the motor when someone hit him from behind, according to an incident report filed with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. His arm was injured and he had a cut on his back. A family member took him to an Athens hospital.
